About Us

Turn the Tide. Change the Conversation.

We all have a connection with the Earth and it’s up to all of us to have a shared social conscious about the environment we live in, to preserve it for future generations.

A massive 780 million people do not have access to an improved water source and it’s estimated that a whopping 2.5 billion people lack access to improved sanitation (more than 35% of the world's population).*

These concerning statistics are the reason we could no longer sit back and allow it to be someone else’s problem. We wanted to take action and change the conversation now… before it’s too late.

That’s why For the Dreamers was born.

About our Founder

When Mia’s parents migrated to Sydney from the Philippines in 1990 she was just 5 years-old. Like most first generation migrant parents, they didn’t have much. As such, wastage in any shape or form was not tolerated.

A consciousness relating to sustainability, versatility and value was interwoven into Mia’s identity at an early age. This consciousness grew over time as Mia moved to Bondi Beach in 2012, and developed a deeper love and connection with the ocean and nature.

Mia made a personal and private commitment to reduce her consumption of animal products and fast fashions that have an impact on the environment. Despite a saturated swimwear market, Mia’s passion, vision & values led to the creation of her eco-compatible swimwear range, which uses exclusively regenerated fabrics - reducing harmful landfill and plastics from the ocean. For The Dreamers swimwear was born.

From design to delivery, considerations have been made along the way to ensure sustainable and ethical business practices. Mia’s goal is to bridge the elegance of high end fashion with the integrity of social and ecological sustainability.
