Every brand has an origin story, but ours is stitched together slowly, intentionally and with more heart than we ever expected. What started as a simple idea soon became a long, emotional and fulfilling journey toward creating swimwear that felt good, looked good and did good. Today, as we reopen our website with new content, fresh faces and exciting plans ahead, we want to take you behind the scenes of how we got here.
This is the story of how our founder turned a dream into a collection loved by women around the world.
Where It All Began: Six Months of Deep Research
Before a single sketch was drawn or a sample was made, our founder spent more than six months researching the industry from the inside out. She didn’t want to rush something that would sit so close to the body. She wanted to understand everything—supplier ethics, manufacturing standards, material sustainability, fabric performance and long-term durability.
During this time, she vetted dozens of suppliers and manufacturers, cross-checked certifications, read reports, held interviews and slowly shortlisted only the ones who aligned with our values. It was the foundation that would shape everything that followed.
Sampling With Three Different Factories
Once our founder completed her early research, it was time to bring ideas to life. She sampled with three different factories across the region, each with its own strengths and challenges.
The third factory showed real promise, but life had other plans. Severe flooding affected the area and made it impossible to visit or sample in person. Beyond the inconvenience, the situation highlighted potential risks for future production runs. Reliability, resilience and long-term consistency became non-negotiables for us. Sometimes the setbacks guide you exactly where you need to go.
Finding Fabrics Worth Falling in Love With
Next came the fabric testing process, which proved to be one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. We sampled various recycled and regenerated materials to find ones that not only aligned with our sustainability values, but also felt incredible against the skin.
We needed fabrics that stretched beautifully without losing their shape. Materials that could handle sun, salt, sand, sweat and real life while still looking and feeling luxurious. After countless trials, we selected two unique textures—chosen deliberately to create a memorable sensory experience. Our founder wanted customers to feel the difference instantly, long before they even tried a piece on.
It needed to be more than swimwear. It needed to feel special.
Tested in the Real World, Not Just the Studio
Once we had our first round of samples, we handed them to the toughest critics of all: our friends and family.
They wore them everywhere—
• to the gym
• to barre class
• to parties
• to Sunday brunch
• to after-work drinks at wine bars
• to sandbars
These suits lived real lives before they ever hit the market. We wanted to know how they performed in motion, heat, sweat and long days out. The feedback shaped our fits, finishes and final designs. It proved our pieces didn’t just look good; they worked hard too.
Markets: The Beautiful, Terrifying Moment of Truth
With refined samples ready, we headed to our first markets. It was exciting, but terrifying in that vulnerable, heart-on-your-sleeve kind of way. This was the first time strangers would see, touch, try and respond to what we had created.
The feedback moved our founder to tears... happy ones! Women and girls walked away feeling good about themselves. They didn’t feel pressured to “fit” into swimwear. Instead, they found pieces that fit them. Their bodies. Their lives. Their confidence.
That validation is something we still carry with us every day.
The Website Launch and a Beautiful Surprise
After months of testing, perfecting and planning, we launched our website. We expected a slow start. Instead, we were stunned to see orders arrive from around the world. All organic. No paid ads. Just real women connecting with our mission and our story.
It felt like the world reached back to hold our hand.
A Tradeshow, a Huge Offer and a Big Decision
Eventually, we took our collection to a trade show and caught the attention of a major retailer. They offered to buy our entire collection. For many brands, this would be a dream come true.
But as a slow fashion label rooted in intention, we politely declined.
It may not have been the most profitable decision, but it was the right one. It reinforced what we already believed: what we created was special, and worth protecting.
Recognition, Awards and Global Attention
Our work didn’t go unnoticed. We won the Clean + Conscious Award for our category, a moment that still fills us with pride.
We were interviewed by FashInnovation NYC, waking up at impossible hours to make it happen. As a small business, you do whatever you need to do... even when the time difference makes coffee your closest friend.
Over time, small boutiques approached us to stock our pieces. Showrooms from France and the US reached out to represent us. Each message was a pinch-me moment.
We chose to focus on small boutique relationships, where our values and slow-fashion approach could shine.
Today: A Fresh Start and an Exciting Future
And now, here we are. Our website has reopened with new content, new faces and new energy. We are already working on our next collection and it is filled with ideas we cannot wait to share. The journey continues, and it feels more exciting than ever.
What began as research notes on a laptop has grown into a brand embraced by women around the world. A brand built with intention, integrity and heart.
Thank you for being part of this story.
The best is yet to come.
