Beyond the Lens | The Women Bringing Our 2025 Story to Life

Beyond the Lens | The Women Bringing Our 2025 Story to Life

Introducing the Women of 'For the Dreamers' Campaign 2025

The brief was simple. Find women that were passionate about the ocean who try to live a conscious lifestyle. Showcase a dream shared across a diverse group of women; different ages, backgrounds, livelihoods, race, ethnicity, size, and interests. Proving that whilst we can be separated by land, we are connected by water.

Here is a glimpse into the women they are today.

Meet Bec

Bec’s hands and heart tell stories of creativity and connection. A skilled carpenter and set builder, she finds joy in transforming raw materials into something meaningful. Her love for the ocean runs deep; she spends her weekends skating, surfing, and soaking in the salty air with her son. Her life is a vibrant blend of work and play, rooted in movement and the beauty of creation.

For Bec, sustainability is a guiding principle. She avoids plastic water bottles, supports ethical brands, and treasures secondhand finds that tell their own stories. Her meals are simple and nourishing, chia seed puddings, fresh fruits, and local produce fuel her busy days. Physical activity is woven into her everyday life. Whether catching waves, skating, or practicing yoga because she believes in maintaining a balance between body and mind.

Her happy place is in the ocean or spending quality time with loved ones. Comfort comes from knowing she’s making thoughtful choices that benefit the planet and her community. Bec reminds us that happiness blossoms through intentional living in the small actions, and in the love we put into what we create.

Meet Hannah

There’s a quiet creativity that runs through everything Hannah touches. Working as a family assistant, she spends her days caring for others but in her own time, she fills it with the things that bring her joy, making, crafting, and moving. A self-proclaimed maker, she finds joy in the act of creating, whether that’s crocheting, reading, or preparing wholesome snacks from fresh, simple ingredients. Her week is a blend of productivity and play. Workouts that challenge her, projects that keep her inspired, and evenings dedicated to rest. Hannah is a maker at heart, someone who finds happiness in the quiet satisfaction of creating something from scratch.

For Hannah, sustainability is both practical and personal. She chooses eco-friendly products, supports local producers, and champions honest conversations about wellbeing including her go-to healthy swap, the menstrual cup, which she calls a “game changer.” Her lifestyle is less about perfection and more about progress.Small, deliberate actions that add up to a more conscious way of living. These small choices, repeated every day, shape a life that feels both mindful and empowered. When she talks about happiness, it isn’t about the grand things, it’s about being able to slow down, to breathe, and to truly relax. Calm, for her, is found in slowing down. Happiness is the moment the crochet hook loops just right, or when the day’s work feels meaningful and done. Hannah’s story is a reminder that sustainable living can be as creative as it is kind.

Jade & Lennix

For Jade, life begins and ends with the ocean. A surfer, creative, and free spirit, she moves through her days guided by saltwater and sunshine. A rhythm her step daughter Lennix has come to know and love. Lennix mirrors that same spirit; wild, curious, and grounded in the sea breeze that seems to follow them everywhere. Together, they live a life rich in motion and meaning school days and surf breaks, laughter and self-expression, the kind of bond that feels as effortless as a long, rolling wave. The ocean is their playground, but also their compass, teaching resilience, patience, and the joy of flow.

Their approach to sustainability is grounded and authentic. From conscious clothing choices to mindful waste reduction, Jade leads by example showing Lennix that caring for the planet is simply part of caring for ourselves. Physical activity comes naturally, woven into their daily lives through surfing, skating, and time outdoors. Joy, for them, is elemental; the salt on their skin, the warmth of community, and the shared freedom of living fully. There’s a simplicity to their happiness, one that flows as effortlessly as the tides they call home.

Community and connection matter as much as the waves Jade chases. She leads an empowered female community called Slide Sister in the southern end of the Gold Coast, shares her avid love for surfing with them, hosts meet ups and educates women on how to navigate the line up and hold their own.

Meet Jemma

Jemma’s spirit is all about flow, in the water, in her life, and in her connection to others. A dedicated nurse, she finds true joy in surfing, sewing, and sharing meaningful moments with her loved ones. Her days are a harmonious mix of work and play, filled with ocean swims, Pilates, garden chats, and giggles with friends and family.

Sustainability is second nature to Jemma. From reusing beeswax wraps to shopping secondhand, she believes small, kind actions add up to a big impact. Her favorite snacks are fresh fruit, corn chips with guac, and dried delicacies all simple, wholesome choices that fuel her active lifestyle. No matter the activity, she ensures she gets plenty of movement, whether in the ocean, at the gym, or out walking her dog.

She finds peace in quiet moments at home in the Valley, appreciating the calmness and presence it offers. Genuine connection, laughter, and feeling grateful shape her happiness. Jemma lives with an open heart and a playful spirit, showing us that a mindful, joyful life is built one deliberate choice at a time.

Meet Jess

With an eye for design and an appreciation for balance, Jess approaches both her work and her wellbeing with quiet sophistication. As a draftsperson specialising in home design, she’s attuned to how space can influence mood and energy, a philosophy that carries effortlessly into her personal life. Her life outside work mirrors that same thoughtful balance: early mornings by the beach, time spent with friends, and long walks that help her connect with nature. Surfing is her sanctuary where her mind clears, and the noise of the world fades away. She believes in living consciously, both for herself and for the planet, choosing to eat mindfully and forgo meat to reduce her carbon footprint. She lives with a deep connection to nature, a respect for her body, and an awareness of her impact on the planet.

Emotional well-being, to Jess, is as vital as physical health. She knows the power of taking a pause, of surrounding herself with people who lift her up, and of living each day with intention. Choosing not to eat meat as part of her sustainability journey, Jess embodies mindful living through small, consistent choices. Her idea of indulgence is simple: a square of healthy chocolate, a quiet moment near the ocean, or a slow evening spent reflecting on the day. Surfing clears her mind; design fuels her creativity. She values emotional wellbeing as much as physical health understanding that harmony is something built, not found. In many ways, Jess is building more than homes, she’s building a life rooted in balance, compassion, and quiet joy.

Meet Karine

There’s a bright and active energy to Karine. Its the kind that comes from someone who builds her life around movement, connection, and the simple joy of being outdoors. Working in marketing and administration, her days are full and fast-paced, but she balances them with the things that make her feel most alive: sport, sunshine, good food, and time spent with the people she loves.

Her week has its own familiar rhythm. Work, the gym, catch-ups with friends, a coffee in hand, long walks that clear her mind, and evenings spent chasing the last light of the day at the beach. Surfing is her reset, especially at sunrise or sunset, when the world feels softer and she can breathe a little deeper. Being in nature isn’t something she fits in; it’s where she feels most herself.

Happiness looks like being surrounded by friends and family, sharing moments that feel easy and warm. Surfing, movement, and the ocean give her energy; being with her people brings her peace. She understands the balance between doing and being. Karine’s story is a reminder that a healthy, joyful lifestyle doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s found in the everyday rituals that make her feel good. It could be a burrito bowl after a big day, a wave caught just right, a sunset that slows down time, and the steady presence of the people who make life feel full.

Meet Lisette

For Lisette, storytelling and surfing flow from the same source, a love for connection, rhythm, and the beauty of what lies beneath the surface. A storyteller by nature and by profession, she weaves words and waves together, reminding us that every person, every place, holds a story worth sharing. Her days begin with the sunrise, catching waves or walking along the shore as the world awakens, moments she calls “accidental exercise,” where movement feels effortless and joy-filled.

Grounded in curiosity and community, Lisette lives with intention. Her approach to wellbeing is simple: nourish the mind through reflection, the body through movement, and the planet through conscious choices. Sustainability is stitched into her everyday from op-shop finds and library reads to wholesome, homemade meals like her signature carrot cake overnight oats (secret ingredient and all). Each small act feels meaningful, a quiet way of giving back to both people and planet.

For Lisette, happiness isn’t something to chase, it’s something to notice. A sunrise surf, a good book, or a conversation that lingers, these are the moments that fill her cup. Every morning, she asks herself, “Who do I want to be today?”, a gentle reminder that how we show up matters, and that even the smallest ripples can create waves of change.

Meet Patience

Patience carries a calm strength that seems to anchor everyone around her and embodies what it means to live with intention. A registered nurse by profession, she carries an innate desire to care not only for others, but for the world around her. When she’s not tending to patients, her days unfold gently along the Gold Coast: long walks with her dogs, slow mornings with a good book, and afternoons spent in the company of friends. Wellness, for Patience, is not a checklist, it’s a way of being. Pilates, strength training, and running keep her body strong, while moments of stillness nourish her mind.

Sustainability weaves naturally through her life, from composting and recycling to small, thoughtful swaps like reusable “paper” towels. Her meals are bright and balanced; fresh fruits, crisp vegetables, and homemade sandwiches prepared with the same care she gives to everything she touches. What grounds her most, though, is her purpose. Helping others gives her a sense of meaning that no material possession could match. In her quiet, steady way, Patience reminds us that happiness often lives in the spaces between. In service, in gratitude, and in the gentle rhythm of everyday life. For Patience, happiness is simple: knowing she’s made a difference in someone’s life, that’s what fills her heart.

Meet Vivian

Vivian moves through life with a sense of poise and presence. Working in marketing and communications, she balances a fast-paced career with a lifestyle that celebrates slowness and simplicity. Surfing is her sanctuary, her connection to something bigger than herself. When the waves are calm, she turns to yoga and Pilates, practices that strengthen her body while softening her thoughts. Meals are vibrant and nourishing, built around rice bowls, watermelon, and coconut water. Food that fuels both body and soul.

Intentional living is at the heart of everything Vivian does. She chooses not to buy fast fashion, favouring timeless pieces and conscious consumption. Her routines include meditation, honest conversations, and the occasional digital detox. Small rituals that keep her grounded in what truly matters. Emotional wellbeing, she believes, begins with presence: being fully engaged in every moment, whether that’s in a meeting, in the surf, or sitting quietly under a fading sun. Vivian’s story is a study in balance, a modern reminder that sustainability starts from within, and that grace is found in the art of slowing down.

Meet Ryder

Every great brand needs a little heart, a little humour and a whole lot of joy. For us, that comes in the form of Ryder, our three-year-old cavoodle and proud Chief Barketing Officer. He may be small, but he takes his role very seriously. Whether he is supervising photoshoots, makes all the models feel happy and reminds us to take mindful breaks.  Ryder brings a sense of balance and happiness to every workday.

Ryder believes in living lightly, so reducing his carbon pawprint is part of his daily routine. He loves long walks, fresh air and exploring new corners of the neighbourhood. These little adventures keep him grounded, healthy and in tune with the world around him.

Like any good style icon, Ryder enjoys maintaining a thoughtful capsule wardrobe. He rotates his favourite pieces, mixes in a few accessories and proudly wears his outfits for as long as possible.
